Contemporary
Saturday March 5th

Contemporary dance is a fluid form of dance done to popular ballads and slower contemporary music. This adult workshop will focus on interpreting your movement with feeling, motion and style. You will learn to tell a story and create the picture of the song. Contemporary combines the fluid beauty of ballet with the more sharp moves in jazz.

Jazz Funk
Saturday March 26th
6:30 to 7:45pm

Step and groove to your favorite Hip-Hop and RnB artists. Learn moves performed by artists such as Usher, Justin, Omarion, Ciara, Michael Jackson and more. The workshop starts off with a strength and style building warm up, moving into a dance routine. Expect a fresh style and a variety between smooth, lyrical routines to sharp, hard-hitting choreography. Always a friendly, positive energy. Attend, be inspired and get an awesome workout and learn some cool moves!

Heels is an adult  style of dance that combines elements of hip hop, contemporary, and jazz dance which is danced in high heels.  Think of the sexy dances performed in music videos with artists like Beyoncé, Janet Jackson, or Jennifer Lopez.

In this adult workshop, you will learn to dance to popular music, have fun, feel sexy and empowered.

Barre Fitness is a total-body barre workout that transforms you physically and mentally.

Our musically-driven group workshop focuses on low-impact, high-intensity movements

that will strengthen and tone your body. All you need is to register for the workshop,

 bring a bottle of water, possibly a sweat towel, and a positive attitude!

Fulfill a dream. Learn something new!  Make music with your feet!

Tap dance is the perfect dance style to learn as an adult. It’s so much fun, and easy to pick up. This is the perfect workshop designed for adults to learn tap dance from the very beginning.  It's a great workout, strengthening of the legs and feet, while increasing mobility in the hips, knees, and ankles.  The focus is on learning single tap steps, then incorporating the steps into a series of combinations.

Come enjoy the beauty and grace of ballet! This class will cover basic ballet positions, steps and vocabulary with a focus on the student's awareness of proper posture and body alignment. Standing barre work and center floor exercises will be given to enhance coordination, strength, balance and flexibility. Participants will also develop a sense of musical awareness and movement quality. No prior ballet experience necessary.
