The commitment level depends entirely on how many dances your dancer commits to doing. We have dancers that only do 1 dance and some that do 10+ dances. The practice commitment is about 4 hours a month per dance they participate in. The dancers also have weekly class requirements.

No! After auditions, if your dancer is chosen for a team, you would receive a contract and decide if your dancer is able to make the commitment or not. Your dancer could also try out and be accepted to multiple genres on the dance team and you could choose to only allow them to do 1 or 2. If your dancer has interest in multiple styles we would recommend they try out for every style they are interested in as they may make one style and not another style.

The cost varies on how many dances your dancer commits to doing. The monthly fee for 1 group dance is about $65 a month (then add about $5 more per month for each additional group dance they do). The costume fee is about $85 per costume (remember they will wear them at least 6 times throughout the season). The competition fees are about $65 per group dance per dancer. Solos, duets, and trios are an additional fee.

We have a booster club that is mandatory to join (about $40 per season fee). They try to provide about one fundraiser per month. We also do some ongoing fundraisers such as scrips where you could get money back shopping online and buying gift cards. The individual fundraisers are completely optional. You can participate in as many or as little as you would like. There are a few full team fundraisers that are mandatory to participate in throughout the season.

Most of our competitions are around York, PA. (York, PA, Harrisburg, PA, Lancaster, PA and Baltimore, MD). Our required conventions are usually in Lancaster or Baltimore. The conventions are a one weekend event where the dancers take a bunch of classes from master teachers!

Tentative summer info - Nationals will be somewhere within a 5 hour radius for summer 2026.

You will receive a general calendar with all weekends and major events listed when you receive your team contract after auditions. This will allow you to make sure you can make the commitment before signing the contract!

This again depends on how many styles of dance your dancer commits to with the team. Minis are required to take about 3 classes per week. All older team dancers are required to take conditioning, their style of dance (whether that be acro, jazz, tap, contemporary, or hip hop), a technique class, and a ballet tech class. Minimum our older dancers would need to take 4 studio classes a week.

The season runs from August 2025 - August 2026. The busiest months are January - April.

The team dancers are required to take their mandatory classes throughout the summer session with the studio. We cannot accept dancers to a team in July and not have them training again for 6-8 weeks. If they miss a week or two of classes due to vacation, that is fine. Minis are required to do the Art In Motion Camp.

Petites, Junior, Teen & Senior are required to do Intensive.
